Every now and then one of our cats will take up a pose that sends my imagination soaring. I couldn't help giving Sammi a little computer of his own, complete with mouse, and a fascinating video game bouncing light back onto his fur.

This pet portrait series is an organic result of the fact that I can't help but paint the cutest subjects in my life. I'm definitely a cat person, but I love dogs, too, and I'm always excited to get a chance to capture their wonderful expressions and silly poses.
